The Order Writer is responsible for placing orders, replenishing product, monitoring inventory levels bases on Super King standards. Assist and support the department manager is organizing displays and maintaining schematic integrity. Direct and manage employees and work processes and provide leadership in maintaining a clean, organized, well-stocked department     

Essential Functions

  1. Write and transmit orders for grocery products by reviewing past and projected sales to ensure adequate inventories are available to meet customer requirements.
  2.  Orders products and maintains appropriate back stock levels.
  3. Direct the stocking of grocery orders to maintain stock levels that meet customer requirements and the sanitary and safety standards of the Company.
  4. Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  5. Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  6. Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
  7. Delegate work assignments in order to effectively utilize employees and supplies to maximize the store's profits.
  8. Provide training provided to department employees in order to reduce turnover, control labor costs, and improve productivity and department profitability.
  9. Implement merchandising plans using guidelines and suggestions from the grocery manager, merchandiser and buyer in order to meet the financial objectives of the department.
  10. Maintain processes and procedures to be followed by shift employees in order to meet sanitary, safety, and OSHA requirements.
  11. Direct and oversee receiving procedures to ensure accurate product is received, store sanitation requirements are met, and security is maintained.
  12. Develop and maintain communication processes with other departments in order to share information and resolve any problems occurring during the night shift.
  13. Ensure that proper procedures are being followed so that store minimizes out-of-stocks.
  14. Ensures that store security procedures are followed, including: maintaining backdoor and key control and adequate security to control shrink losses.

  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, overnights & holidays.

  • Sufficient mathematical proficiency to understand required functions such as gross profit, payroll and department contribution.

  • Minimum 1 years customer service experience at a supervisory level
  • Minimum 1 years leading and managing a team




  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred
